Molly grew up on the Kennebec Road, just a few miles from Nettie Fox Farm. She graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY in 2003 with a degree in Environmental Studies and moved back to Maine in 2005 to start growing vegetables as an apprentice at Peacemeal Farm in Dixmont.
Molly spent time working on farms in Washington state and as the MOFGA Farmer in Residence with Christa Bahner of Bahner Farm. She bought Nettie Fox Farm in 2009 where she now lives and works. In the winter she works for Fedco Seeds.
Everett was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He spent a year with family in China and then graduated from Willamette University in Salem, OR, after a year abroad in Munich, Germany.
In 2009 Everett took a blind leap into the Maine agrarian lifestyle. After apprenticing at King Hill Farm in Penobscot and a handful of other nearby farms, he operated Del Rio Farm, a small wholesale veggie farm. In 2013 he and Molly joined forces at Nettie Fox Farm. In the winter he works for Winter's End Brick and Stonework.
Huckleberry & Maya
Huck is an 8 year old lab border collie mutt. He loves quiet walks in the woods, tuna fish juice and shredding toilet paper. He’s a rascal.
Maya is an 11 year old bearded collie. She is Everett's constant shadow and will fetch a stick until your arm wears out.
Nettie Rose Fox was Molly’s great-grandma. She was born in 1891 in New Brunswick and moved to Aroostook County with her family in 1894. At nineteen, she married Edward Jordan Bull and they went on to have thirteen kids. She loved quilting, knitting, gardening and baking. The center of her kitchen was the old “Home Comfort” woodstove, used for baking, hot water, drying wet mittens and warming up the occasional sick lamb. She died on May 9th, 1987.
